The two beautifully maintained golf courses in the Achensee region are located in an area that is just about as idyllic as it gets. The wonderful panoramic views of the region's Alpine peaks, the luscious Alpine pastures and rugged mountain scenery create an atmosphere that makes it easy for golfers to concentrate on the perfect tee shot.
Achensee Golf and Country Club
Achensee can offer golfers two courses on which to play the perfect round of golf. The 18-hole golf course in Pertisau at the foot of the Karwendel Mountains is one of the most beautiful courses in the entire Alpine region. The Achensee Golf and Country Club, which was established in 1934, is not only the oldest golf club in the Tyrol, but was also among the first three clubs in Austria. This course is a true golfing gem, with stately terrain and a wonderful location right on the largest lake in the Tyrol region. The Achensee Golf and Country Club is quite special in every respect: the 1st tee is practically in the middle of the village, and the other holes offer a pure alpine golf sensation. The clubhouse is the perfect location for rounding off the day after a successful game of golf, and it is an impressive building with modern yet homely architecture.
Posthotel Alpengolf in Achenkirch
The second 9-hole golf course in this region, which belongs to the Posthotel, is located in Achenkirch on a beautiful high plateau directly adjacent to the Karwendel nature reserve. This course is suitable for beginners and expert golfers alike, with its different tees and varied layout. The Posthotel alpine golf facility offers everything a true golf fanatic requires. Golfers can also savour the cuisine in the charming "Dollnhof" clubhouse, a listed building that is more than 300 years old.
Golfclub Zillertal-Uderns
Elegance and exclusivity on the highest level characterise the unique golf course (18 hole/par 71) with a wonderful view on the mountains of the Zillertal. This was also confirmed by the Austrian golf magazine “Golfrevue” which awarded the Golfclub Zillertal-Uderns as the best new club in 2014. We are happy to get on with this "title" in 2015. Furthermore, the golf course is member of the Leading Golf Courses of Austria. There are shaded parking facilities in the parking garage of the new club house in the 4****s hotel “Sportresidenz Zillertal”. There is also the gourmet restaurant “Die Genusswerkstatt” which will please all your culinary wishes.
